A space to slow down and untangle what feels heavy.

WHAT HEILSA MENTAL HEALTH STANDS FOR

Heilsa Mental Health provides structured telehealth psychotherapy across Texas and Oklahoma, grounded in clarity, steadiness, and thoughtful clinical care. The name is inspired by an Old Norse root meaning whole or well, reflecting a view of psychological health as integration rather than correction.

The Heilsa symbol draws from Scandinavian runic design. Rather than spelling the word directly, it functions as a bindrune. A combined mark representing layered meaning. The vertical line suggests grounding and stability, the geometric center balance and structure, and the angled extension forward movement.

Together, the name and symbol reflect a core philosophy of the practice: strengthening what is already present and moving forward with clarity.

THE PROCESS

Beginning therapy can feel uncertain. That's ok, you don't have to have it all figured out. Heilsa is here to help you move forward from where you are. The process is structured to provide clarity from the start.

1. Consultation (Optional but a good place to start if you are unsure)

It is a brief 15 minute phone consultation which provides space to discuss what brings you in, clarify goals, and determine whether the approach is a good fit. This is not a therapy session, but an opportunity for initial alignment.

2. Intake Appointment

The first full session includes a comprehensive clinical assessment. We review current concerns, relevant history, functional impact, and begin outlining initial goals. This establishes direction and structure for ongoing work.

3. Ongoing Psychotherapy

Sessions are typically 53 minutes and focus on identifying patterns, building emotional regulation skills, strengthening relational insight, and creating measurable progress. The approach integrates structured interventions with reflective depth.

* Treatment pace and frequency are discussed collaboratively and adjusted as needed.
